The plant, located roughly 750 meters from the school canteen, is connected via pipeline. The biogas plant has significantly reduced spending on LPG as it has been saving 2 commercial LPG cylinders per day for the organization since 2015.

Key Technical Aspects

Solution:

The water source identified was a well near Dhamandari village. Since the well is very near to a dam, the water level does not go down drastically. The villagers in Dhamandari were cooperative and were okay with water being drawn for Vasantwadi. They were confident that even with water being drawn for two villages, the well will not dry in Summer. With this installation, there will be a measurable difference in the life of the Vasantwadi people. The value that easy access to a resource like water can create is beyond imagination.
